Four Legged Family
Peanut

Peanut
Peanut is the cutest, little pint size horse we have. He’s an real-live miniature horse that stands...hmmm...about waist high. He was born in 2006 and we brought him home in 2008. Since we taught him how to appreciate treats, he’s learned that life is just full of surprises and so many people bring them his way. “The Nut’s” best friend is Banjo. Peanut and Banjo are great additions to our Healing With Hearts therapeutic program.

Dancer and May

Dancer
Dancer is a pretty 15hh registered American Paint Horse. She was born in 2002 and came to us via another generous donation from Carl Kenyon in 2008. She is well-trained, fine tuned, cooperative and an all around great mare. She’s become a popular ride for our Tuesdays at Trinity and lessons, great on trail and a super friend to May.

May
May is a beautiful, iridescent 16 year old, 15 hh Buckskin mare. She is just gorgeous! She was donated by the Barb Wilson family out of Minnesota in 2008 to be used in our therapy program and Tuesdays at Trinity. She is steady, sweet and...did I mention...gorgeous! We love her.

Banjo
Banjo is...well, he’s really…., his hair is ….., he’s just sooooooo cute it’s hard to put into words. He was born in May of ‘08 and is the sweetest little Miniature Mediterranean Donkey you will ever find. Really!!!!! He’s as affectionate as a dog, LOVES to snuggle, give and GET kisses and is just a doll. Banj’s ears are as long as his entire head and his bangs are wild, to say the least!!! (I’m actually not sure we would call them bangs, since I think bangs lay down and these...well, this is like he has an unruly, renegade toupe resting between his giganto ears. Simply the cutest!) He and Peanut will be the best addition to our therapy program ever...thanks to our Mom, Faith Schmidt.

Banjo
Doc and Sonny

Doc
Doc is a gorgeous 16 hh registered Palomino gelding born is 2002. He is a gentleman, a scholar (being he’s a Doctor ‘n all) and great judge of people. He’s incredibly well trained and yet very forgiving to riders who are not at his level. He’s been our ambassador since 2007 and is eager to greet all who visit the Ranch with a smile. What a great boy!! Doc is a huge hit in lessons, therapeutic riding, Tuesdays at Trinity and camps.

Sonny
Sonny is a gorgeous 16hh registered Palomino Quarter Horse gelding (sound familiar??) Sonny could be Doc’s big brother as he was born in 1992. He’s sweet, a bit shy, but is incredible on trail. He loves water and is a great role model for horses that are unsure about the entire fallen logs, bushy branches, crossing water, wildlife jumping out at you gig! We love him a ton and he is quite a ladies man and makes his rounds in our Tuesdays ladies program. Sonny’s been part of our family since 2007.

Willow

Willow
Willow is a 14hh sweet & petite registered Quarter Horse mare foaled in 2005. Carl Kenyon has been such a blessing to us and donated her in 2008. She is young, inexperienced but has some good foundational work already done. She’s calm, patient and willing to learn. She’ll be fun to work with over winter with hopes of rolling her into some TEC programs next summer.

Spike
Spike is a 2004, 14.3hh Breeding Stock Paint gelding. He takes the expression “bomb proof” to another level! He is soooo calm that you have to nudge him now and then just to see if he’s still awake. He’s such a good boy, is so sweet and is great on trail, therapeutic riding and lessons. He’s a great addition to our family.

Spike
Casper

Casper
Casper is a 15.1 all white registered Appaloosa gelding born in 1993. We've had Cas since 2002. He's known as sort of a "persnickety" boy. He likes a good rider - one who will challenge him. He's very well trained and loves it when his rider brings out the best in him. He will eat nearly anything; honey nut cheerios, fortune cookies, peppermints and has even shared a ham & cheese sandwich or two. He's used for lessons, Tuesdays at Trinity, UWEC Equine Team and Healing with Horses.

Sterling and Jackson

Sterling
Sterling is a 16 hand dapple grey Quarter Horse gelding born in 2001. He is the newest addition to our four-legged family and was purchased and donated to Jan by Karen and Dick Supple of Eau Claire to fill the nearly "unfillable" shoes of the beloved McQ that was sadly killed by lightening on July 29th. Sterling is not only beautiful, but athletic and light on his feet. He loves being on trail and does great in Healing with Horses and Tuesdays at Trinity and has won the hearts of many already. He's a perfect fit and we love him!

Jackson
Jackson is a sweet 15.1 hand Quarter Horse gelding born in 1984. Jackie Boy joined our family in 2003. He is our go-to-boy. He will go anywhere, do anything and ask no questions. Jacx is amazing! He has the kindest heart and all he wants is to serve...and serve he has. He has been the reigning star in our Lessons, Day Camps and Ranch Care programs. We've happily put him in semi-retirement. We use him sparingly for young, small riders who need a human instructor as much as an fury instructor. He is a blessing!

Rags

Rags
Rags is a 14 hand Rocky Mountain Pony gelding. Raggers was born in 1989 and has been part of our family since 2003. He has a huge heart for kids especially for those who are challenged. He is a great partner and has helped us in our Day Camps, Ranch Care and Healing with Horses (Therapeutic Riding of Eau Claire). He loves treats, long walks in the lakeshore and his favorite color is turquoise. His best friend is Gambler.

Turk
Turk is a 14.2 Palomino Paint gelding who was born in 1996. We purchased Turkey Boy, aka Turkmeister, aka the Turk Man in 2003. When he arrived at Trinity, he was very shy and untrusting. We believe he had been abused because of his behavior. We made it our mission to build a trusting relationship with him and it paid off big time!! He has grown to be one of the sweetest, most affectionate and playful boys we have. In fact, we’ve caught him many times dressing up in the orange traffic cones and waiting on Hwy 37 for the school bus to pass. He loves pretending he’s the crossing guard! What a boy! He’s such a great help in the Healing with Horses program, Tuesdays at Trinity and Ranch Care.

Turk
Gambler and Woody

Gambler
Gambler is a 1988 model, 13 hand registered POA (Ponies of America) gelding. He joined our family in 2005 as a generous donation from the Dr. Nathan Jalil family and has blessed us ever since. He's a very popular boy in Healing with Horses, Lessons, Day Camps & Ranch Care.

Woody
Woody is a 15.1, 1994 foaled registered American Paint Horse gelding. He is gorgeous, well muscled, well rounded and has years of experience in the show ring. He was generously donated by Carl Kenyon to TEC in 2007 and is loved in our Tuesdays at Trinity, Healing with Horses and Lesson programs. He too is loved by many (especially Marge Fortun).

Sisco
Sisco is a 1995 foaled, 13hh gelding Pony. We purchased him in 2004 to join our lesson string. He's a beautiful boy, sweet, somewhat shy boy with a striking crystal blue eye, a star and cute little snip on his nose. He loves a challenge and really enjoys jumping even though He's just a little guy...but don't tell him. He thinks he's as tall as the big guys. Shhhhhh, we don't want to bruise his delicate ego. He'll eat almost anything offered and out in the pasture, when he gets really excited, you can see him hopping like a bunny. It's quite a site! He's a really good boy and we're blessed to have him.
