William Mattson,

Sarah Stokes

William Mattson received a BS from Mankato State University with a “double major” in Mass Communications (with an emphasis on Advertising & Public Relations) and Business Administration (with an emphasis on Marketing, Management, and Accounting).  Following graduation, Mr. Mattson developed a computer listing network for International Data Inc., a Minnesota commodities and real estate sales development firm.  His accomplishments at IDI included developing real estate listing software for commercial and agricultural properties while establishing international sales contacts via Telex and combining the two to promote foreign investments. Mr. Mattson left IDI to hold public office for a municipality of approximately 5000 population during which he served for 12 years in the capacities of City Clerk, Treasurer, Building Inspector, Zoning Administrator, Health Officer, and retiring from that position as City Administrator.  Following public office, Mr. Mattson moved his family to Eau Claire where he spent the next year conducting business efficiency evaluations offering recommendations for reorganization.  More recently, Mr. Mattson has served area builders for the past eight years by providing construction controlling services including management of contracts, budgets, bookkeeping, cost controls, lien waivers, financing, etc.  Most recently, Mr. Mattson and his wife Toni have purchased Trinity Equestrian center where they are transitioning the center into a Christian youth camp serving underprivileged and at-risk kids.

Matt Flannery

Toni graduated with a degree in marketing and merchandising following which she co-managed her family’s 90-year-old men’s clothing store for six years. Toni left retail for a position reorganizing the advertising department at a newspaper office and later served as Director of Marketing for an area national bank for four years.

When Bill and Toni decided to move to Eau Claire, Toni became a successful area Realtor as well as an entrepreneur in internet sales and contact management services. In 2002, she became a co-owner of Trinity Equestrian Center with her husband and sister. She obtained a degree from University of St. Thomas in fund development for non-profit organizations, received her certification from EAGALA as a Certified Equine Specialist, and then, in 2005, initiated Trinity’s horse therapy programs for underprivileged and special needs kids, adults, families, and veterans.

Toni has been a speaker for God’s Great Outdoors traveling the country and Canada since 2002 and in 2009, became an ordained Christian chaplain.

One of Toni’s greats passions is to help other Equine Centers fulfill their dream by developing a successful, effective and purpose-filled equine therapy program.  She devotes much of her time these days to training, business development and consulting across the US and has development Trinity’s TEC University.

Toni’s primary responsibilities at Trinity are managing, marketing, fund development, and director of all programs and ministries.


Jan Behm,

Jan Behm

For 22 years, Jan managed her family's 90 year old men's clothing store and continued to do so until its closing in 2001. In 2002, she became a co-owner of Trinity Equestrian Center along with her sister and brother-in-law. Jan has been integral in the start up and growth of TEC's Healing and Therapy Center that serves underprivileged, at-risk and special needs kids, adults, families, and veterans. Jan is the Director of Equine Care & Services at Trinity.
Jan has completed her PATH certification and is excited to be a Certified Equine Specialist and Mental Health Learning professional and is proud to join TEC's treatment team.


Sylvia Piekarz

Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor, EAGALA Cert. Mental Health Professional, Business Trainer, Consultant and Personal Development Coach

Sylvia PiekarzSylvia has a bachelor's degree in social work from UW-Eau Claire and a master's degree from UW-Stout. She is currently working as an at-risk youth counselor for Dunn County and an in-home child and family therapist. She has always had a passion for experiential therapy and her work for the past 20 years has been grounded in the experiential models. "Since first being introduced to using horses to help people overcome life's problems, I have witnessed time and time again that horses make great therapists. I have found a new passion working with the team in Trinity's Operation We Care. I was married to a Vietnam veteran who suffered with PTSD and died at a very young age. I live on a small hobby farm with my horses Chip and Bonnie, my dog Cass, and my cat Archie."

Ian attended UW-Stout, CVTC, and the Law Enforcement Academy. He holds a degree in criminal justice and is trained as a certified police sniper.
Ian retired from law-enforcement to devote his full-time effort in the development of what has grown to be TEC's largest program, and serves as the Director of Trinity's THE POWER OF EXAMPLE Youth Development and Mentoring Program.
Ian manages a team of over 30 mentors serving nearly 50 at risk youth throughout the state of Wisconsin. He is also an integral member of TEC's Business Development and Consulting team.

Sarah StokesSarah Stokes owns Queen of the Castle Magazine and Stokes+HERZOG Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing in Eau Claire.
Her husband, Chris Herzog, is also her business partner. They have two young children, Kanyon and Kaydence. Sarah finds giving back and connecting people to be her purpose in life. She's been involved with Trinity Equestrian Center since 2006

Oversee retail operations for the South Central region of Bremer Bank.  Manages and develops commercial, retail and indirect relationships for the bank.
